Hey Chris and Kostas,

I checked the scripts I was looking at with what was actually run. The
t_dir param whhich I was worrying about sets what plaquettes are temporal
vs spatial, both of which are separately reported as it flows. There is a
separate XML tag which could have turned off smearing directions, but that
is not being used here. We are indeed doing 4d smearing.
