Dear David,
The SPC recommended and the EC agreed to allocate 10 M KNL core-hours, 473.7 K RTX2080-GPU hours, 60 K MI100-GPU hours, 2400 TB disk space and 150 TB new tape space at JLAB for your project “Parton Distribution Functions and Amplitudes of the Pseudoscalar Mesons and the Nucleon from Lattice QCD”. The storage is considered short-term: the data is supposed to be off-loaded when the project ends, and the tapes may not be migrated, or indeed available, after the end of the project (with a grace period). Sites can, of course, choose to maintain the data for longer periods at their discretion. Please note that the recommended disk space is the total (i.e., for continuing projects, this represents the total recommended quota including old and new data). For the tape, it is the new tape space available to the project. It is also to be understood that not all the disk will be available immediately: ending projects do get time to offload their data from the machines. It is possible that the projects may start with a smaller quota which is increased as needed.
We will send you a brief summary of the SPC discussions resulting in this recommendation at a later date.
Tanmoy
USQCD SPC Chair
