Good Afternoon,

One of the actions associated with the laser safety event is to evaluate, and improve if necessary, JSA's laser system safety training.  This evaluation has resulted in a decision to replace our existing training (SAF 114O) with an online course offered by DOE's National Training Center (NTC).

JSA's training database indicates that each of you has SAF114O in your SRL so you are requested to either have that removed by  your supervisor, if no longer needed, or complete the NTC training by October 31, 2019.  Your existing training will expire on that date.

The NTC training can be accessed through the following procedure:

(1) Go to the NTC webpage (https://eaccess.ntc.doe.gov/)

(2) Enter your previously issued username and password (issued to anyone here in October 2017 for mandatory National Security Training), retrieve that information if you did not record it in 2017, or create a new account

(3) Once logged in go to "Application Access" and select "NTC LMS"

(4) Select "Course Catalog" then "ELD-Enterprise Learning & Development" then "ESH-Environment, Safety, and Health"

(5) Select ESH-333DE, DOE Laser Worker Training and complete the course

(6) Print out the course completion certificate and send a copy to Tara Tyndall (wilkerso at jlab.org<mailto:wilkerso at jlab.org>) or Tish Creery (creery at jlab.org<mailto:creery at jlab.org>) in HR.

If you run into technical issues accessing the training the folks at the SSC front desk are willing to help.
