[halla_compton] [EXTERNAL] Re: Hall A Compton meeting tomorrow (Wednesday, October 23) at 11 am

Hey guys,

I am in another teleconference starting at 10:30, but I will call in to 
this one when it is over.  If I don't make it, my current understanding 
of the e- det status is:

  * Alex is going to have translator boards to go from the backplane of
    the French crate to the QWAD at JLAB
      o needs to know if we should have an additional resistor
  * Garret is testing the detector with the QWAD at UM with Jie's help
      o they got rid of the noise
      o will test with added capacitance to mimic the additional
        capacitance of the cables
      o will test with added resistance to see if the attenuation will
        work with QWAD so we don't need the "spider" to set the threshold
  * Bob and Iris are working on the DAQ
      o another student may begin helping soon
      o they are making progress
      o will need to have the ability to use the time over threshold
        from the QWAD
          + the output LVDS signal width is proportional to the time
            over threshold

Maybe Michael can comment or even call in if I have something wrong here.
