Minutes of Hall A Group Meeting: July 7, 2020

  1.  Thia Keppel
     *   Accountability drill coming this Thursday
     *   Dien Nguyen is the new Isgur Experimental Fellow
     *   PPE being ordered now also in a small size for arc flash work
     *   PAC will be remote
     *   Assume MedCon5 will be in place still during shifts/experiment start
     *   SAD – all Physics staff assumed to be on site, plus some key engineering staff
     *   Please send all anticipated SBS preparatory tasks involving Jessie’s group to him sooner (now!) rather than later – will need to communicate for work planning, especially assuming MedCon restrictions
  2.  Robin Wines
     *   SBS-
        *   ordering parts, working on install plans/details, working on ECal support drawings, detailing drawing for cryoline disconnect, working on BB structure modification and rail layout, working on BB sieve holder details, analyzing the lead wall modifications, reviewing EHut designs and locations.
     *   Prep for SBS collaboration meeting next week.
     *   SoLID
        *   working on coil test spool piece and piping for TestLab setup, working on access platforms for test
     *   MOLLER- preparing for reviews, working on detector supports
  3.   Jessie Butler
     *   Sent most of my week working on MOLLER documentation for upcoming review and reworking SBS installation schedule.
     *   Finished drilling and tapping new lifting holes in SBS and HCAL floor plates.
     *   Assist Bogdan and Chuck with moving some magnetic shielding plates for Big Bite detector.
     *   Install shielding around the split AC unit for cooling the labyrinth.
     *   Received and inventoried parts for constructing the new entrance beamline work platform.
     *   Check vacuum and cryogenic system to make sure they are still functioning as expected.
     *   Continue working with the electricians and clearing floor space so they can continue replacing blown overhead lights
     *   Additionally, the Target Group continued working to bring the target back
  4.  Jack Segal
     *   Both spare VDCs do not have shorts to the cathodes.
     *   Things look good so far.
     *   Additional soldering was done on the copper foil shielding.
     *   We are in the process of connecting a gas cylinder to check for leaks.
