Get your stuff out. Pay attention to plans as they develop. 2) Run Report: Jixie Zhang (DVCS) a) For full report see: http://hallaweb.jlab.org/news/minutes/RC_Summarie s/RC_Report-11-16-10.pdf b) Reviews current configuration c) Week at a glance: i) Mostly Production Data, flipping between LD2 and LH2 once per day d) Problems: i) Y-position fluctuations, 0.2 mm ii) Deadtime iii) Target is stable but cryo-flow fluctuates. (1) TO's should watch and adjust JT's to keep heaters at >30 Watts e) Plans for next week: i) Change polarity, Weds, 11/17 ii) Elastic calibration, Weds and Thurs, 11/17- 11/18 iii) Fill big Dewar and cool Møller magnet, Thurs and Fri, 11/18-11/19 iv) Switch polarity, Fri, 11/19 v) Change Beam energy, Mon, 11/22 vi) Spin dance with Hall C, Mon or Tues, 11/22 or 11/23 f) Ole comments re deadtime and use of adaql2, dvcsdaq is a top of the line new machine and should be much faster. i) Alex says he's testing dvcsdaq ii) Carlos is concerned about changing DAQ computers in the middle of the experiment 3) Al Gavalya a) g2p: i) beam dump design is well along but on hold pending approval of beam position monitoring scheme ii) Susan is starting design drawings for the thin upstream window iii) Whit is testing the failure modes of the window (1) Also working on the Møller cryo-can b) Joyce is working on the Møller drawings. Expect them to be ready by the end of November, reviewed in December, and out for bids by January 4) Sirish Nanda is reviewing Compton upgrade plans 5) Doug Higinbotham a) SRC: i) collaboration meeting is scheduled for December 7 ii) All needed things are designed except for the targets 6) Alexandre Camsonne a) Latest firmware from the electronics group is in b) Deadtime problems c) Calorimeter trigger d) Ole suggests connecting adaql1 disks to adaql2 for faster service. Alex agrees. 7) Kalyan Allada a) Working on Transversity analysis for the collaboration meeting on Saturday (11/20) b) Hopeful, the n results will be declared final 8) Ole Hansen a) Analysis workshop is scheduled for December 8. He's putting together the agenda. Contributions are invited. b) Working on BigBite and SBS simulations 9) Bogdan Wojtsekhowski a) Working on SBS and new proposals i) Evaluating the use of a Cerenkov detector in an open geometry configuration ii) Working on BigBite and SBS simulations iii) Gen with recoil Polarimeter b) FPP front chamber: i) Started repairs ii) Gives details of repairs done and still needed 10) Arun Saha a) Letter on Oxygen is going out b) Working on 3He 11) John LeRose a) Helping Bogdan with SBS b) Working on migrating SNAKE and other optics codes to newer machine (Jlabs2 is going away soon) 12) Doug Higinbotham adds that pi0 has nice results on ATL, i.e. the azimuthal asymmetry from the polarized beam. 13) Kees adds that it's time to get busy with contributions to the Hall A annual report -JJL
