I have made up a few slides (attached). I'm not sure yet whether or not I will be available on Monday for a meeting so if anyone wants to discuss the content or missing material from my slides please let me know. Are we safe to assume that when MOLLER is running, the beam will be maximized longitudinal polarization to Hall A regardless of whatever is running in the other halls? I assume that means tweaking the H Wien angle not the energy. The vertical polarization doesn't drift but it will need to be accurately zeroed perhaps with a spin dance initially and then more precisely by removing the left-right asymmetry on the detectors. I don't think this is related to Moller polarimetry requirements though. That got me thinking. The plan for setting up fully transverse is to do a spin dance and measure where the minimum or zero of the asymmetry vs Wien angle using Azz. I wonder if we could also rotate the target by 7 degrees and turn the field down to 0.3T so we have almost no out of plane foil polarization and mostly in-plane target polarization. We might be able to directly measure the transverse asymmetry. It would be more out of curiosity to see if we can see it since measuring the zero of a large signal (using Azz) would be far more accurate than the maximum of a tiny signal (with Axx).
