<html><head></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; "><div>Hello,</div><div><br></div><div>After we hung up we talked more about VCS and BH. Both mechanisms are contributing.</div><div>In VCS the photon comes from the proton and BH it is radiated by the electron.</div><div><br></div><div>1) BH</div><div>Bertozzi and every other electron scattering enthusiast always claimed you can calculate the radiation effects and subtract them out. </div><div>So what's the problem. Is it because we detect the proton as well?</div><div><br></div><div>2)VCS</div><div>There must be measurements in similar kinematics from JLab or Mainz that we can use to subtract VCS contributions after folding in our horrible resolution.</div><div><br></div><div>3) Tails from delta contributions are added in the DMT and MAID models since those models are determined by fitting the data.</div><div>What about ChPT when you are several MeV above threshold. Does anything in ChPT such as the low energy constants mock it up?</div><div><br></div><div>4) We also should looking at some new theories and not just ChPT</div><div><br></div><div>5)When all is said and done, I think Khem will show some the data in 2 MeV bins. That will average out effects due to our poor resolution. You can already see that near threshold when you add the 1 MeV bins together. At higher W above 10 MeV you don't need 1 MeV bins anyway.</div><div><br></div><div>6) Doug do you remember that we took some data with a collimator to block the windows. It might be useful to look at that data </div><div>near threshold depending on what we see when Khem analyzes the window data.</div><div><br></div><div>7) I gave Khem's name to Patricia to give the E04007 status talk at the Hall A meeting. He has go to learn to do this after all - he has to give a talk for his PhD Thesis</div><div><br></div><div>Richard</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><br><div>
