[Halla_running] [Revised Logentry] Hall A status and plans: Friday, November 7

Hall A is presently in Power Permit to allow final PSS checkout and ARC dipole power supply soak test. Once this is complete, MCC will begin extraction of the Hall A and B beams to the dumplettes, and then begin setup to the Hall. 

Upon beam arrival, we will check out the functionality of the raster and check the BPM calibration, etc.  After beam-related checkout, we will start to look for LHRS-Calorimeter coincidences.

The left HRS is still being pumped down (it was let up this morning to configure the pins that the new, thick collimator will hang off). Saturday morning (8  am), Jessie Butler will come in to turn on the turbo pumps.  Please make sure the MCC is notified that we would like a Controlled Access at this time.  If they request a delay, please call me so I can notify Jessie.

Longer term, we plan to take some optics/sieve data in the left HRS - potentially Sunday. Monday morning, we will go to Restricted Access to cool the cryotarget.
