[Halla_running] [New Logentry] RC report, Thurs April 21

After the pass change yesterday MCC restored the beam around 9PM. We started beam recovery procedure to prepare for the target boiling studies. We took runs on carbon target with several currents up to 60 uA and took one run with Al target. Then we moved on to LH2 target and took several runs in steps of 10uA, all the way up to 60uA. When we changed the fan speed of the target from 60Hz to 30 Hz to take runs with different fan speeds, it went to zero quickly and the TO could not recover it back. Had to call the target expert (Silviu) but he suggested contacting Dave Meekins. Dave came early morning and took a short access to reset the fan. We decided to skip the runs with different fan speeds. 

This morning we did beam energy measurement (Doug). It was measured to be 8842 MeV. Then we completed the BCM calibration with maximum current of 65uA. Now we are now moving to production running for the GMp experiment with both spectrometers. The plan is to do production with 60uA on LH2 target for the rest of the time.
