While it is not fixed, it is functional. It seems that for some reason removing the jumper to connect the backup capacitor allowed us to communicate with the PLC. We then cleared the fault, loaded the program, and started it running. Ethan will try to find out more about why this would interfere with running. It would be best to not cycle power on the PLC. We can recover, but it adds some time. It is not necessary to cut power to the PLC to change the polarity, we do it for the sake of completeness. We will remove that step from the polarity reversal procedure, for the time being.
