[Halla_running] [New Logentry] Status update

Beam studies started with FFB system test at 9 am. The FFB work could not be completed due to a software problem (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3538862). It will be revisited perhaps during the next beam studies. In the meantime, we did have parasitic data taking with empty cell for 1.5 hrs at 22uA.

MCC started optics studies at 1pm and we were ready for the controlled access. The Hall was open around 2:10 after the survey, and walk-through training, detector checklist and magnet work were performed.

Around 3pm the LHe level for RHRS dipole started going down quickly and soon after LHRS dipole failed as well. The cause is not clear at this moment.
LHRS was recovered around 18:30. We resumed data taking with LHRS only starting from spot check at p=1.5 (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3539118). H3 data for column 19 were taken only with the LRHS (2174-2177).

We got the RHRS back around 23:30 and started data taking for D2 target with both arms.

Tomorrow morning RF recovery will start from 8:30 am. It is scheduled for 4 hours. At least at the beginning, MCC needs Hall A and C for RF diagnostics. MCC will send high current beam to Hall A&C and try to find the weak spot(s) regarding the RF power limit. I will post more details on the plan after the MCC meeting.
