[Halla_running] [New Logentry] Hall A status and plan for Mon 10/22

After a rough start over the weekend (Dave Meekins valiantly completed his repair of the target He leak earlier than expected but we had problems with the LQ3 that quenched several times) we had a decent Sunday thanks to Heidi and Jack who recovered the LQ3 quench. On Sunday morning we changed kinematics on the right arm to 2.85 GeV/c and we ran with both arms until this morning when LQ3 quenched again. Right now we are in beam studies with the accelerator magnetically separating beam to our hall. We are taking an assortment of solid target runs with the right arm until beam studies are over at around noon. We will then be surveyed by RadCon after which Jessie and Heidi will be able to go down into the hall and troubleshoot the magnet. At the same time Dave Meekins will take the opportunity to look at our target since he suspects a small leak might be the cause of the vacuum excursions we have seen when moving the target ladder.

At 4PM beam studies should be wrapping up and if our LQ3 and target problems are resolved we should be back into production.
