Hi all,
(Text below copied from this HALOG entry: https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3597332)
CW beam has been established to Hall D. Tuning for Halls B and C will continue today.
For Hall A, we will cool the target during the day today. Dave expects it will take roughly six hours. Once the cooldown is underway, we'll lock up the hall and put it in controlled access.
Once the target is cold, we'll be ready to take whatever beam is available over swing and owl (up to 10 uA) and begin our detector and trigger checkout.
Assuming we are able to complete our first checks with electrons during owl shift, we will plan to install the sieves on both arms on Wednesday morning.
Then we'll take optics data for all of Wednesday, and optimistically plan to remove the sieves and go to 2nd pass beam on Thursday Day Shift.
So, for day shift today, we only need a TO for the second half of the shift (after lunch), no shift leader is required.
Swing and Owl shifters should plan for fully staffed shifts tonight.
Cheers,
Evan (Hall A RC)
