FYI, the labyrinth (personnel passageway) to enter Hall A will be closed from 8am-noon today (9/23) while contractors are install a new AC unit in the area. Please stay clear of the area during this time. Thanks!

Please be advised that access to Hall A has returned to its normal Restricted Access protocols... In an effort to support employee safety, please remind co-workers to be mindful of the posted radiation areas and other hazards when working in the hall. As a heads up, the pivot and dump remains posted radiation areas. Additionally, certain equipment racks have elevated levels of radiation. Any work in those areas will require coordinating through RADCON.

Hi All,

I am sending this email to ask everyone to delay all work and/or visits to Hall A until after September 15th and work near the pivot until after September 22nd. I would like to allocate the first week, following the run, to RADCON and the Hall A tech staff to understand radiation implications and to safe the hall prior to starting work; this will also aids in ALARA…

Hopefully, you all’s plan can support this delay but I completely understand that this could create conflicts with work that has already been scheduled. If you have an issue, please let me know so we can discuss an alternate plan forward. Also, I would like to ask for everyone’s help in getting the word out by passing this information on to others within your groups.
