During yesterday's day shift, production ran smoothly and the everag efficiency was ~54%. But from 12:00 to 14:00, the Compton IOC went off without any alarm, thus we lost ~4-hour Compton data. In order to avoid this happening again, our shift crew needs to check the "ComptonCentralRate" more frequently. Or we could check Compton crucial plots after each Compton run, and the checking guidance was posted by Adam on HALOG:https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3842628. The average efficiency of yesterday's swing shift is ~52%. At 2:35 am this morning, Hall A septum was tripped, we couldn't cycle it, because PLC seemed to be hung up (pointed by Jack). While we were waiting for the expert to fix the Septum, we were able to finish the bullseye scan with the 2uA CW beam. At 8:30 this morning, we ordered an escorted access, Jack went into the hall and cycled power on the HES (supplyhttps://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3843076) to fix the issue. Meanwhile Bob swapped the detector cab!
le to the counting mode to prepare the Qsq measurement. The results of Qsq measurement were posted on HALOG: https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3843138. Devi also checked the detector alignment by using the Qsq measurement data, and the alignment is good based on his HALOG: https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3843181. After Qsq measurement, the spot size, spot++, and Compton rate have been checked. We went back to production at noon. Thank you for all the support!
=========================================Scheduled Down Time=========================================================
Tuesday from16:30 to 20:30, we have the scheduled beam study. Since it starts at 16:30, RadCon will be left by then. However if people really need to go inside the hall to check/fix their subsystem, please contact me as soon as possible. PD will try to contact RadCon to support the work then.
Otherwise, we will leave the Hall in beam permit during the above down time.
===================================================================================================================
We will have a very brief RC meeting today at 3:30pm to discuss what we could do during the above down time. The bluejeans: https://bluejeans.com/256205934
