Run plan for 16OCT swing shift through 17OCT day shift.
As of 20:37 on the 16th, we are in the middle of step (4), the ion chamber calibration on the reference cell filled with H2.
1) Re-establish beam by following the short beam recovery procedure as described at https://sbs.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/HOW_TOs#If_beam_has_been_down_due_to_machine_tuning
2) Turn on the raster as described at https://sbs.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/HOW_TOs#How_to_ask_MCC_to_set_the_desired_raster_size_of_6_mm
2) Move to the reference cell, which is currently filled with 1atm of H2
3) Turn off the BB and SBS GEMs.
4) Ask OPS to carry out the ion chamber calibration on the reference cell with H2 up to 20uA. They will take the IC data at 10% full pressure, then ask us to change the pressure and take IC data at 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% full pressure.
5) Move to the He-3 cell.
6) Turn on the BB GEMs. Start an GEnII-NoSBSGems data run. Call the GEM on-call to say we will be starting the H2 running "soon".
7) Establish 1uA of beam on He-3 cell, and take a GEnII-NoSBSGems data run for 5 minutes. Do a short replay and look at the raster image on first screen. Make sure it looks uniform except for the center. Image to be attached shortly. Stop the run.
8) Turn off the BB GEMs.
9) Ask OPS to carry out the ion chamber calibration on the He-3 cell up to 20uA.
10) Move to the reference cell, which will be filled with H2 at 10atm (100% pressure).
11) Set up for the H2 data collection
11A) Ask OPS to change SBS to 1050A, and adjust the correctors accordingly. For comparison, the SBS==2100A settings are shown in https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4060502.
11B) Change CODA run type to GEnII-3Stream
11C) Turn on the BB and SBS GEMs
11D) Turn beam on and step up current at 5uA, 10uA, 15uA, and 20uA, allowing time at each current for GEM on-call to verify the GEMs are ready for the next beam current increment.
11E) Take data runs with 20uA on the H2-filled reference cell to allow the GEM latency tests. Collect a total of about 2hrs of data
12) Is He-3 target polarization ready?
12A) If He-3 target polarization is ready, move to the He-3 target. Ask OPS to change SBS to 2100A and and reset the correctors accordingly. The 2100A settings are shown in https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4060502. Take 20uA data runs until the RC asks you to stop.
12B) If He-3 target polarization is not ready, stay on the H2 target and keep SBS at 1050A. Take 20uA data runs to get about 8 hours of data.
12B,part2) If the 8hrs of H2 running is complete before the RC asks you to do something else, move to the carbon optics target. Ask OPS to change SBS to 2100A and and reset the correctors accordingly. The 100% settings are shown in https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4060502. Take 20uA data runs until the RC asks you to stop.
