[Halla_running] Hall A RC meeting today at 3:30 PM

Hello all,

We had to back out of the Moller measurement as the Moller dipole power supply was unable to hold stead current. DC power group has been working on replacing some of the transistors on these power supplies since 8 AM today with a hope to resolve this issue. Plan is to perform some stability tests, and schedule a Moller measurement at the earliest convenience depending on the outcome of these tests. If this work isn’t completed by the end of the day today, it will, we will  it during the maintenance day tomorrow.

After beam checkout yesterday night, we took production data at 40 uA on a ~40% polarized ^3He and encountered significant number of beam trips. MCC is taking a pause today with a hope to resolve these trip issues and address the high current needs of Halls A & C. In the meantime, we’ve encountered a shoulder on the raster pattern that will be looked into by Bill Henry, Bill Gunning, Jiwan Poudel and Mark Jones sometime today. The plan is to continue with production data on ‘Fringe' during swing and owl shifts until 7:30 am tomorrow. We will take advantage of the maintenance day tomorrow and address a number of hardware issues in the hall.

Let's have a brief RC meeting at 3:30 pm EST today. Don Jones will run the meeting today as I have other prior commitments.
