RC Report -- 01/31/23

Run update:
The Moller crew came in early and took measurements before and after the Wien change (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4120160). We backed out of Moller around 3pm and switched to half-wave plate IN. Thanks to Don, Faraz and Eric. Beam was not available until after 7pm. As we were preparing for beam restoration, the SBS dipole tripped off. We called the tech-on-call and both Andrew and Jessie came in. Jessie asked for a full RadCon survey, suspecting that it would not just be a simple reset. They worked to try to bring the supply back up until around 11pm when it was clear that the work would have to resume in the morning. With SBS magnet off it was decided to remain in Controlled Access until morning. The hall is in Controlled Access, BB, SBS and corrector magnets are off as is the detector HV.

Issues:
The issue with the SBS magnet appears to be with the power supply controller, with investigations continuing this morning. Ellen is currently working in the hall. Thanks to her, Jessie and Andrew.

Run plan:
Work will continue on the SBS dipole supply. If it can be resolved today we'll move to production running until tomorrow morning, when the beam will be switched off for maintenance day activities. Hunter plans to make some target measurements before we ask for a RadCon survey (which will probably take 2 - 3 hours after beam off).
