RC daily update 10/23
General Updates:
Unfortunately, during the middle of day shift the lasers tripped and were off without an alarm going off on the target computer. Because of this the target depolarized quite a bit, down to 31%. Because of this we attempted to take data on the reference cell but found that the reference cell would not hold pressure. After trouble shooting this the polarization back up to 34% so we decided to go back to production data. 

Swing and Owl shifts were pretty smooth and the polarization came back up to 46.4 % during the last NMR. Despite the loss of polarization, we were able to collect about 2 C of data in the last 24 hours.  During the last week, maintenance day to maintenance day, we collected about 12.2 C of charge corrected production data.

The beam went down at around 6 am for the start of the maintenance day today and they plan to start restoration at the start of swing with the hope of returning beam sometime in the middle of swing. The Hall is in CANS mode right now for laser work, it will likely be in CANS until after lunch. It is possible to work in the hall while in CANS mode if escorted by someone who is laser trained. Work is planned for the GEMs, BBCal and GRINCH.
