Attempted to ramp up beam current to 12 uA on LD2 last night. GEMs behaved fine at first glance so we stayed there for the night.
There was a gas/fire alarm in Hall C SHMS gas hut which, by procedure, made MCC take beam away and evacuate counting house. Fortunately no damage to Hall C (besides time loss of 3 hours for them), but beam was unavailable for 1 hour.

We resumed production after, and run relatively smoothly until 6:30am. Then, GEM induced DAQ issues prevented us to take any data. We called for an escorted access to fix the issue: https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4298629
Production resumed at 10:50am.

It was determined by David that the increase of current from 10 to 12uA was not providing the expected gains in statistics - let alone the decrease in productivity due to DAQ issues. Therefore, we decided to resume data taking with 10 uA.
