[Halla_running] RC daily summary August 4th, 2025

Dear Collaborators,

During Yesterday day shift, MCC made an access to Hall A due to an IOC for a beam position monitor down, and needed manual reboot; see log entry here: https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4433820 . This roughly attributed 1-hour beam down for Hall A. Starting at around 11AM during Sunday day, it was decided to execute an ECal cluster threshold study; With the help of ECal experts, we took two 4-hour runs with different ECal cluster threshold, one run at 40% ECal threshold with 10 uA beam current; the other run at 60% with 10 uA beam current. Both runs accumulated more than 0.15 C charge, see log entries here: https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4433785 and https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4433787. The program took roughly 1.5 shifts, and was completed during Monday OWL shift around 4AM. There was a couple DAQ down per shift, but they usually get resolved quickly by DAQ experts on-call. Other than that, the rest in Hall A was going smooth.
Today is scheduled for Hall B pass change, so most of the day shift will be no beam. Wednesday day shift is scheduled for both Hall A beam line Compton study and a maintenance day, during the 8AM MCC meeting, there was a suggestion that move maintenance day to Thursday considering the amount of work required for both programs, it is not finalized yet.
