<p>I just heard from the Program Deputy that it looks like we are on track to begin transitioning to three hall operation during the day Friday (assuming good running for Hall D this evening and overnight). This process involves setting up the chopper in the injector and setting up the extraction to halls A and B. In total, the process should take on the order of 8-12 hours.</p>
<p>This means there is a good possibility that Hall A will be in a position to start taking beam Friday, swing shift. Looking at the shift schedule, there are several openings that need to be filled foir the next several days. I encourage collaborators to sign up for shifts.</p>
<p>In other news, we had planned to cool down the cryotarget during the day today. There have apparently been some problems and the target group is troubleshooting. It seems unlikely that the target will be available for the first of today's "practical", hands-on target training sessions. I will provide an update on the target status as more information becomes available. For now - we should still assume that target operators will be needed starting Friday, OWL shift.</p>
