<p>Today is the first day of run coordinator terms for the spring run. Below is a summary of today's news as we begin this run period.</p>
<p>First, the key news from the 1:30 scheduling meeting is that accelerator will not be ready to deliver beam before next Wednesday. The hall will remain in restricted access until that time. All shifts are cancelled through the Owl shift on March 4. Anyone scheduled after that time is reminded to check email and the shift schedule for further cancellations.</p>
<p>MCC is focused on commissioning the new 750 MHz separator that will allow all halls to operate with 5-pass beam simultaneously. This work is expected to run through the next week. If this job requires more time, 5-pass beam could be sent to Hall A OR Hall D, but not both. Therefore, the separator is the top priority for CEBAF for the future.</p>
<p>We are currently ready to lock up the hall once accelerator is ready to deliver beam. Work can/will continue in the hall while we are in restricted access. A meeting is scheduled for 3pm on Thursday (weather permitting) in the Hall C counting house to discuss the preparations for the experiments.</p>
