<html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html charset=us-ascii"></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space;" class="">Hi everyone,<div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><div class=""><div class="">I just got off the phone with the crew chief. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">They're going to pull 2 of the 4 RF separator cavities and take them to the vacuum lab to try and fix the vacuum problems. Tomorrow they'll be replacing them with drift tubes. So we're looking at one hall operation for at least another week, maybe two. Given the down time to put the cavities back in, that might even mean 1 hall ops until the end of the year.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">So I'm about to write the shift crew on day shift tomorrow to cancel their shifts (except for TO), but put the swing and owl tomorrow on standby. Why?</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Because tomorrow, someone in a suit (or a skirt) will have to make the call as to who gets beam Sunday night, Hall A or Hall D. I assume it will be Rolf and Arne but probably Thia and Eugene will have (in any case they should have) some input. Until we know how management decides to split the beam between A & D, we have to be ready to take it tomorrow night.</div></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Greg</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">
