<p>Unfortunately, we didn't have a lot of beam for the last 24h due to several problems with Accelerator and 2nd pass separator. Zhihong wrote a nice summary about the separator problems (<a href="https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3605377">https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3605377</a>) and the current status can be found <a href="https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3605482">https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3605482</a></p>
<p>Yesterday, the RF IOT amplifier for the 2nd pass separator was switched with the 3rd pass separator to get the 2nd pass separator up running. However, the 2nd pass separator was not running stable and during the night work on it was paused to allow the experts to get some rest. During the night the 5pass horizontal separator got also problems. Currently, the experts working on both separators and it is likely that their problems have the same origin. If the root cause can be found and fixed we might expect beam late day shift / early swing. So lets hope for the best.</p>
