<p>As of 8:35 am, the beam has been taken away for the injector work (1h for Hall B laser work, 30min for us). We were in the process of thermal commissioning of Ca40 at 120uA. We complete the rest of the thermal commissioning for Ca40 and Ca48 once the beam comes back. </p>
<p>Commissioning activities during swing and owl:<br />
Target cooldown completed around the end of day shift yesterday, and we started the beam restoration. Low current beam was established quickly, harp trace gives us the spot size at the target ~110x146um. Right before we were ready to do the target alignment check, all HRS magnets tripped due to CHL recovery compressor trip.</p>
<p>We did target alignment check with the LHRS, Carbon hole, Ca48, Ca40 positions are found: <a href="https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3769328">https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3769328</a>. Raster size verified, found same as before.<br />
New target lock positions are set to X = -0.3 Y = -1.5, which is 0.5 mm off from the Ca48 center vertically.</p>
<p>After the target alignment, we handed over the beam back to MCC for ion chamber calibrations and high current beam setup. All ion chamber calibrations are done with our new target lock position.<br />
They were not able to send the stable beam over 125uA (<a href="https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3769374">https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3769374</a>). Need injector tuning to get 150uA today. </p>
<p>Carbon ion chamber calibration has high current data points added from the high current beam setup (<a href="https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3769382">https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3769382</a>). MCC will do the similar check for Ca targets as we get higher data points from the thermal commissioning.</p>
<p>Detector alignment was checked, small adjustment was made (<a href="https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3769574">https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3769574</a>). Qsq was checked simultaneously (<a href="https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/37695420">https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/37695420</a>). AT moves in the background as well.<br />
Took escorted access to switch US detector to integrating mode. Also Devi adjusted SAM gas flow.</p>
<p>We have 30, 60, 90, part of 120uA step done for Ca40 thermal commissioning. We are checking the data from Ca40.</p>
<p>Issues to be addressed in the hall:<br />
- RQ1 doesn't ramp up higher than ~500uA. Informed Jack and Jessie.</p>
