<p>RC Report 26 November 2022</p>
<p>Long Live and Prosper</p>
<p>Summary:</p>
<p>- Bogdan and Nathaniel were taking data with low threshold (-120mV) during the morning with H2 at 10 atm. Then things started to twist, it is like the coronavirus has infected the JLab halls (first Hall B, now Hall A... I guess Hall D keeps social distancing and Hall C is immunized after the issues to get high current).<br />
- Around 14:15h, we changed from H2 to N2 --> <a href="https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4091083">https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4091083</a> starting with 1uA and then raised to 5 uA. One hour later, Nathaniel reported a drop on pressure on the cell --> <a href="https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4091132">https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4091132</a> and not being capable to hold pressure --> <a href="https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4091137">https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4091137</a>. Given the time close to the change of shift with Todd (reference cell expert) and Mark we waited for them, and Todd diagnose there was nothing he can do until Monday. So, no more reference cell.<br />
- The rest of the Swing Shift was dedicated for Raster studies under the direction of Mark and Simona. There are plenty of log entries that I won't bore you listing it.<br />
- In the meantime, our Renaissance Man, Bill was analyzing the data with the reference cell --> <a href="https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4091340">https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4091340</a> and WITHOUT AN OFFICIAL CONFIRMATION UNTIL MONDAY it is very likely that we lost the reference cell. Todd informed that there is a replacement already in the campus and ready to be installed.<br />
- Xinzhan integrated the SBS GEMS into the DAQ and apparently no issues reported.<br />
- Owl shift was cancelled and Day shift was delayed to start at 12h today.</p>
<p>Issues:</p>
<p>- really? not gas cell (target and reference cell) available right now.</p>
<p>Run plan and ongoing activities</p>
<p>- Today we will have the run optics. Andrew L. will be in campus at 13h, PD and MCC were informed and they contacted Radcon. At the moment of this report, we are on schedule.<br />
- Dave Meekins will bring a deuterium bottle to be placed in the hall and installed on Monday. FUN FACT: access to Deuterium in JLab is only authorized, by DOE regulations, to Dave Meekins, who needs to know where is the bottle all the time. Keep in mind for future requests.<br />
- Monday, Arun and Radcon should address the situation of the target enclosure and proceed to clean (if necessary) and install the new target and reference cell.<br />
- Depending of MULTIPLES IFs, I can try to schedule the spin dance (Moller measurement) next week. </p>
