<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail-logentry gmail-node-content">We have beam on He3!
<p>Ops spent most of yesterday fixing the optics to send beam to hall A
without tripping. Finally around midnight they started harp scans, with
spot sizes to big. As they were working on harps they lost connection
with harp B, which required an access to the hall, which is now fixed.
Finally the beam spot size was small enough around noon today and we
quickly moved on through the beam checkout and on to He3. We are now
running 45 uA on He3 and the last polarization was 50%.</p>
<p>The upstream ion chamber was a bit (~20%) higher than previously found (<a href="https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4127432">https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4127432</a>). MCC claims it is likely some bleadthrough from hall C and they will make sure to monitor it.</p>
<p>The BBCal was found to have some empty blocks (<a href="https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4127454">https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4127454</a>) covering about 20% of the active area. BBCal experts have been notified and are looking into it.</p>
<p>We will have a meeting today to discuss the status and issues.</p>
