<p>Dear all, </p>
<p>Many thanks to the hard work of the all experts and previous RC (Ezekiel). We successfully completed the target installation operation (yesterday) and heading into production (today). </p>
<p>The highlight of the last 24 hours is the following:</p>
<p>Yesterday, at 4:30 pm, the target installation was completed and tested. The laser was turned on for target polarization. Beam came back around 11 pm, and the night shift focused on the optics data (with Sieve installed). 20uA was requested, and overnight delivery (mostly <10uA) didn't allow us to complete the optics data taking. One of the single foil part was completed.<br />
Today, at 9:00 am, MCC was committed to delivering a 20uA beam to allow us to complete the study of the optic and request beam off for 1 hour. At 12:00 am (noon), still no beam, and we are concerned that the study of the optic will not be completed by 3:30 pm. Therefore, Holly suggested stopping the optics study and resuming production. Around the same time, Arun and Hunter completed the target polarization measurement and certified it for production running (we were at 43-45% polarization in the morning with the new calibration constant).</p>
<p>Upcoming: Sieve takeout will happen at 1 pm. Bill Henry will then perform a spot check (without the Sieve) before production begins. </p>
