<p>Beam restoration continues to be in progress. Several zones are not quite ready yet, but there do not seem to be any show-stoppers. Vacuum issues appear to have been resolved. There is the usual array of small glitches, which are being addressed. The hope is to be ready for beam delivery by Friday swing. Halls B/C/D may get checkout beam over the weekend. Hall A will remain in Restricted Access until early next week. Physics start has been tentatively set for Monday (3/31), contingent on progress.</p>
<p>The Hall A hot checkout yesterday went well. We are "99% ready." Items not yet signed off on include the SBS corrector magnets, the beamline vaccum, the ion chambers, the FSD system, and the Bldg 91 beam dump sump.</p>
<p>The issue with the non-functioning gate valve downstream of the target was worked around by removing the gate valve altogether, which is an approved configuration.</p>
<p>Work planned in the hall for today/tomorrow includes<br />
* Ion chamber checkout<br />
* Target survey<br />
* ECal AC unit installation</p>
<p>Target operator practical training will be held today from 3-5pm in the Hall C counting house. If you have signed up for upcoming TO shifts, please check your training, and if incomplete, consider attending.</p>
