<p>A quick update to keep people in the loop. Beam restoration is still in progress. I got the impression that it is going so-so. 3rd pass seems to be in good shape, but achieving 5th pass to Hall D is proving problematic at the moment due to various optics issues.</p>
<p>The hall remains in Restricted Access, with detector and DAQ checkout and debugging in progress.</p>
<p>Hall C is planning to cool their target Monday Day and, if all goes well, could take production data as early as late Monday. This pushes the Hall A beam startup to at least Friday. In this scenario, we would cool our target Thursday Day and would need target operators on duty starting then.</p>
<p>Barring anything unforeseen, shifts are cancelled through Thursday Owl.</p>
<p>The slight delay should not stop us from getting the hall ready for beam as soon as possible. Assuming we get our paperwork finished Monday, we may go to Controlled Access early in the week to prepare for possible tune beam etc., just in case. Please email me if Restricted Access later in the week would be important to you.</p>
