Dear Colleagues,
As you probably know, the eg6 run is getting close to the end. After a
somewhat slow start
we were able to pick up the full speed and collect high quality data,
almost 6 billion triggers, which the
collaboration will be analyzing for quite a while. But the successful
completion of this run would not
have been possible without Hall B staff who helped us to design and
construct the new detector and
maintained the Hall B equipment throughout the run, often coming in the
middle of the night
and fixing problems in the record times. The stable beam delivered to us
by the accelerator division
was a crucial factor for the successful data collection of eg6 with
it's thin and long target. And we really
appreciated the effort by the whole CLAS collaboration for taking the
shifts and operating the detector
systems throughout this run period.
To express our gratitude to everyone who contributed to the eg6 success
(and to wish you Merry Christmas
and Happy New Year, and also have fun and enjoy good food) we would like
to invite you to the end-of-run party.
The party will take place on Monday, December 21st of this year in the
Great Room of Residence Facility.
Hope to see you all there,
Hovanes Egiyan
(on behalf of of the eg6 group)
