Krister,

  Exactly right! CLAS does sound better. Other option: JLAS
(JLab Large Acceptance Spectrometer) sound even worse. :-(

Since we don't believe in Greek Gods or Godesses such as
HERMES, HERA, APOLLO, APHRODITE,...or Roman ones, such
as JUPITER, MARS, .... or dark places like HADES,  we picked
a more mundane acronym.

However, we are still looking for a nice LOGO. Anyone who
wants design one? We could have a little contest.
