Subject: GFCI protection while using Aerial Lifts

To all those that are “AERIAL PLATFORM/MANLIFT OPERATION (SAF302)” qualified here at the lab:

When using an extension cord to power the receptacle outlet on the lift platform, the extension cord shall be plugged into a GFCI protected outlet (protected either by a permanently installed GFCI circuit or by the use of a portable GFCI pigtail-cord).

Plugging the extension cord into a GFCI first, will then provide protection to the extension cord and the auxiliary power wiring on the manlift.

Contact Todd Kujawa at 269-7006 if you have any questions.
