Dear all,
Just a quick update on where we are with the machine restoration and the KPP run.
Accelerator is doing quite well with restoration, they already had a beam in Hall-D and
now are finishing commissioning of the 750MHz RF separator. If everything goes well
they will be ready to setup Hall-B on Wednesday. Accelerator is planning to be down for
a shift on Thursday morning for some breaker checkout.
At around 3:30 pm today we had the ARR and ERR "Green teams" walkthrough in Hall-B and
in the counting room. Teams verified that ERR recommendations have been addressed and
the Hall is ready for beam. We will hear their recommendation perhaps by tomorrow noon.
At the moment Hall is in "Power Permit" while DC-power group performs HCO on BSY and 2C
lines. After they done with checkout we will go to restricted access. Hall will be open
tomorrow morning. If we will have OK from the "Green team", then the Hall will be closed
tomorrow, Wednesday, to start 3-pass beam setup (most likely afternoon). This is a day
earlier than it was original planned, so we may need more volunteers to staff more shifts.
Note, we willbe open, "Restricted Access", on Thursday day shift.
I will send another update tomorrow, close to noon.
Regards, Stepan
RC
