Hi Doug,

Since members of the DSG are not on call, Hall B engineering staff will be responsible outside of normal working hours, just like for everything else. This subject has already been covered.

I will begin gas flow to the drift chambers this morning. The gas will flow all weekend. The Hall B engineering on call may receive alarms, etc. These folks need training on what to do in case of alarms. This is a critical Hall B system, improper operation may result in equipment damage. Training is essential.

George.

Subject: Detector Gas System

George

Sometime ago I was told by the Hall Leader the DSG will cover the Detector Gas system and Gas Shed. Yesterday the Chief Engineer said the same.
