Walking around the Hall this morning and looking for cold spots on the Primary U-tubes, I noticed a violent rattling noise emanating from the DBX. I put my hand on several valves and found the source to be PV8512S. I lowered the position from 100% to 60%. This should not cause any operational problem, at least at the current flow rates. Now we have ~ 0.1 atm pressure drop across this valve. We should keep an eye on this as it may be signs of a loose bullet or seal on the valve stem.


It should be put on a LONG TERM WORK LIST and looked into if/when we warm up the entire CLAS12 system if not sooner....
