[Hallb-engineering] [New Logentry] Hall B Torus/Solenoid Force Interaction Studies

We started with the Solenoid at full field in the "POSITIVE = Field DS"
We are continuing the Ramp to full Torus Field in the " POSITIVE = Field CCW"

At 21:44 we reached full current on both magnets. The following is a high level summary of the Interactions.

All Solenoid load cells (radial and axial) are only effected by the solenoid field. They are independent of Torus field.

Torus OOPS (out of plane supports)  are effected by Torus and Solenoid field (when Torus is powerd). Before reaching the limits for controlled ramp down on two OOPS we increased the load threshold of CCM B LC817B1 from 1300 to 1450 lbs and of CCM D LC817D1 from 800 to 1000 lbs. We reached the orignial value for controlled ramp down on those two OOPS at ~ 3500 Amps. Those were predetermined and conservative limits and we are well safe at the new values

Coils are definitely moving around a bit inside the VJ as can be seen on OOPS Coil A Senosr 1 it started to take load at Torus current of ~2200 amps.

Torus Z supports show a very very weak interaction with Solenoid Field, and are primarily tied to Torus Field

Torus Y suuports have a small but real interaction with Solenoid Field. They are primarily tied to Torus Field

Our goal for the rest of the night is to ramp down the Torus, and ramp back it back to full field in reverse polarity. Check interactions and bring it back down to allow detector installation work in Hall B to continue as soon as the power issues and fresh air fan issues have been resolved
