It looks like this signal is driven by CCM_DT_MAX and mainly happens when the Torus is above 60K.
The most important singnals are the differential temperatures between the coils CCM's and the Hex rings.

CCM_DSHR_DT
CCM_USHR_DT

Nathan, please remove METAL_DT_MAX from the on call pager and replace it with the two above signals which are somewhat better behaved.
