Dear all,
We are transitioning from RG-I (HPS) to RG-M (CLAS12). Work in the hall is progressing according to the schedule. The HPS is out, beampipe through Torus has been installed, work on the assembly of CVT/FMT is complete, and the system is undergoing the cosmic test. By e.o.b. today, we will be done with the downstream beamline and should have the target on the space frame. If everything goes as planned, all major work in the hall will be completed on Monday, with Tuesday morning reserved for the final checkout of the CLAS12 subsystems.
For the subsystem experts: please, let me know ASAP if you need any beam time at the startup to complete your system configuration (HV/LV/threshold/time-window settings). Please note, RG-M starts with LH2 target for calibration then has multiple target changes throughout the run. We need to have fixed running conditions, HV/LV/thresholds/time-window for detectors for the whole run period.
The HCO for CLAS12 is now active. I request to have systems checked and signed off by mid-day on Tuesday. Let me know ASAP if there are problems with me this deadline.
Regards, Stepan
RC
