Dear all,

I got a word that machine made progress on setting up 5-pass to Hall-C and very likely will be ready to deliver beam to Hall-B on owl shift. Owl shift personal is notified. We will continue HPS shifts from tomorrow on.

I have not received any updates from PD this morning. Looking the logbook it is clear that machine is struggling to setup 5-pass beam. No need to cover shifts for now, I will update you as soon I willet a word from PD or accelerator.

I was just informed by PD that we will be down at least till tomorrow morning. The machine did not finish setting up the 5-pass beam. They are in fact quite far from it. So, stay tuned for more news later today or tomorrow morning.

The RC meeting for today at 3 pm is also canceled. Not much to report. One good news from yesterday’s brief beam running is that we have working orbit locks now, and the BPM readings have correct directions.

I just learned that there will be no beam to Hall-B. Apparently, program for tonight and most likely over whole weekend is to setup 5 pass to Hall-C. Unfortunately, no one told us about it.

Sorry for a late notice, the owl shift for tonight is canceled, the rest of the shifts are on stand-by, wait for my email.

Hall-B will be in power permit, we are turning magnets off and will leave the counting room.
