Brian,
What other signals are are or were alarming?
Thanks
Dave

I ramped the Torus to 100 then back down to 0 to make sure MPS comms was okay. No issues there.

There's still a few cryo warnings (namely PT8115) so I'll hand it off to the Hall B folks now.

Not sure if someone else was also messing with it, but I set both of the VCL flows to 88 l/min which seemed to get rid of most of the alarms.

Torus PLC has been power cycled and is back online.

There are a handful of cryo alarms now though ... I'm guessing PIDs got reset?

Could someone check those?

All right then. I’ll ramp down both magnets once they terminate the beam tomorrow morning (~ 7 am). They should be off by 8:30. And we request rapid access. Let me know when you finish the reboot, and we can bring them back up.

Should be fine to just do the reboot after everything is ramped down.

We need to make an access to do the reboot (have to physically power cycle it). I'd like to see if we can connect via USB before the reboot though.

I'd prefer not to upgrade the firmware in a piecemeal fashion (e.g. only the torus) and I'm not sure only 1 shift is enough time to do all of them.

The concensus is to ramp down and reboot when we lose beam in the morning. Brian what are your thoughts on the matter?

Hi Eugene,

I'm looking into the possible effect of the "not talking" signals.

Brian,

What signals from the solenoid are not updating in the Torus (DBX) PLC?

I see at some that are updating:

 DP8620VCLDP

B_TORUS:LHe:PV8522SR:CVAL  = PT8620

B_TORUS:LHe:PV8522SCD_Min_Min:CVAL = LL8620

Thanks Guys

Dave

Subject: Re: DP8620VCLDP

So I poked at the tags some more and it turns out that this one is updated on the DBox PLC, which I can still connect to. So I manually reset the error bit and this value is now updating on the PID screens.

caget B_TORUS:LHe:PV8522SR_Val:CVAL.INP

B_TORUS:LHe:PV8522SR_Val:CVAL.INP @PLC_CRYO PV8522SR_Val.CVAL

The torus PLC still isn't seeing updating values from the solenoid, but maybe we can put off the reboot until tomorrow?

Subject: DP8620VCLDP

Just as a reminder,

This signal is a calculated value base on two pressure sensors.

the math goes as follows:

DP8620VCLDP =PT8620-PT8571

There is a similar setup of

DP8670MAGDP = PT8670-PT8571
