[Hallb] Hall B News (message from Thia Keppel)

Greetings colleagues,



As you all likely know, Marco Battaglieri will be leaving us here with the close of 2021 as a full time Jefferson Lab employee and returning to Italy - hopefully to come back to us soon as a user. Marco's two year term as Hall B Leader has been impressive, with several highlights including completing the RGF, HPS, and RGM (almost done!) science programs despite COVID, and inspiring and supporting multiple innovations in software and data acquisition. I am sure that he will be much-missed by all who worked with him.


The search for the new Hall B Leader is well underway. Happily in the meanwhile, Stepan Stepanyan has agreed to step up from his current position to the Acting Lead position. As you all know, Stepan has extensive experience, and is a clear expert. I have full confidence that he will do an excellent job with the challenges of Hall B as we finalize the search. Please support and welcome Stepan - and send along your thanks to Marco for a job very well done.
