Folks,

After the MCC scheduling meeting today, the path forward for the start of beam delivery is still coming into focus.
The good news is that they are very close to the start of running.

There is still a chance for Hall B beam delivery starting Saturday, Mar. 29 at 8 a.m.. So we need to create a standby
list of shifters for Mar. 29 (day) through Mar. 31 (owl) in case this possibility arises.

I attach the current standby shift schedule filled in with those who have already volunteered. I would like the rest of
the slots filled in with names by tomorrow 5 p.m.. Please volunteer to cover these shifts without delay. Your efforts are
much appreciated.

I will send out another email when I have a firm plan from MCC on whether or not Hall B will get beam this weekend.

Regards,
Daniel

Folks,

At this morning’s MCC meeting it was announced that the progress on preparing the machine to start beam delivery
for physics is advancing and beam delivery will start soon. However, there are a number of issues that may prevent
delivery of beam to Hall D until early next week. If that is the case, there is a chance beam delivery to Hall B at
1-pass could begin on Saturday morning (Mar. 29).

We need folks to be available to take shifts if MCC plans to delivery beam to us. We will (perhaps) learn more at
today’s 1:30 p.m. MCC scheduling meeting. Until then I want to get standby shifts set up for Mar. 29 (day, swing),
Mar. 30 (owl, day, swing), and Mar. 31 (owl) - shift experts + shift workers.

Obviously the initial focus will be on beam tuning to the Tagger and then to the Faraday cup. This will likely be
an extended process so we will need our beamline experts available whenever beam delivery commences.

I will send out email later in the day with an update on the plans from MCC for beam delivery. So please let me
know your availability to serve from Saturday day through Monday owl if necessary.

Daniel
