[Hallc] Hall C Summer Physics Workshop, August 27, 2010

The annual Hall C Summer Physics Workshop will be held this Friday, 
August 27, 2010 in Cebaf Center F113, starting at 9AM.  The agenda is 
posted at http://www.jlab.org/Hall-C/talks/08_27_10/.

This year's workshop will focus on three of the research areas that Hall 
C will see in the 12 GeV era, exclusive reactions, semi-inclusive deep 
inelastic scattering (SIDIS), and hadrons in the nuclear medium.  The 
workshop will also included updates on the construction of the SHMS 
spectrometer and detectors.  At the end of the meeting, the SHMS Users 
group will meet to take nominations for the SHMS User Group Board.

The traditional Hall C social gathering will be Friday evening after the 
workshop.  In addition, a tour of the Hampton University Proton Therapy 
Institute is being organized for Saturday morning.  Further details of 
both these events will be available at the workshop.
