[Hallc] Hall C Summer Physics Workshop - August 27, 2010

Hall C is pleased to announce its annual summer workshop to be held on 
Friday, August 27, 2010.  The workshop is the same week as the PAC 
(August 23-25) and the SHMS detector Meeting (August 26).  This year's 
workshop will focus on three of the research areas that Hall C will see 
in the 12 GeV era, exclusive reactions, semi-inclusive deep inelastic 
scattering (SIDIS), and hadrons in the nuclear medium.  The workshop 
will include talks from a mix of Hall C collaborators and physicists 
outside of the Hall C community.  Although the agenda is under 
development, the organizing committee is still a accepting suggestions 
for talks.  If you would like to give a talk or suggest a speaker, 
please contact one of the organizers listed below.

Several other activities will take place in conjunction with this
meeting.

1.  The SHMS detector meeting, with updates on detector construction
    status will be held the day before the workshop.  Please contact
    Howard Fenker for more details.
2.  The traditional Hall C social gathering will be Friday evening
    after the workshop.
3.  Thia Keppel has agreed to arrange a tour of the new Hampton
    University Proton Therapy Institute.  Details of this tour, likely
    on Saturday morning will be available at the workshop.
4.  A short meeting of the SHMS Users group will be held during the
    workshop to take nominations for the SHMS User Group Board to
    replace the two board members whose terms are expiring.
