[Hallc] Hall C Shifts and Status

Hi all,

I am writing to follow up on Doug's request to sign up for Hall C shifts, below, just to let you know a bit more about what's going on in the Hall...

As noted, the current plan is to start this coming Monday morning (March 6) running beam to Halls C, A, D simultaneously. Assuming that accelerator is successful with this, we will continue to run all Halls on through to 8 AM, March 23. Hall C will have both the HMS and SHMS spectrometers operational starting Monday the 6th. The cryotarget has been successfully tested as of today, but we will not initially have the hydrogen cell filled. We will run to accomplish/demosntrate the 12 GeV project Key Performance Parameters (KPPs) first, with the solid targets only. We will then move to commissioning the SHMS, reviving the HMS, and testing out the new DAQ for both. We plan to fill and run hydrogen hopefully toward the second week of running - post KPP completion - as we begin SHMS optics studies.

It should be a busy time for the Hall - come on out and help!

Very best,
Thia

Subject: [Hallc] Hall C KPP Shifts

Dear Hall C Collaboration,

The accelerator has been running rather smoothly, so accelerator division has decided to go ahead and keep Hall A online
and just bring up Hall C. While this is great news for physics, it does mean I had to split the A/C shift schedule
and make a seperate Hall C schedule.

Please sign-up if you can! We need to meet the Hall C Key Performance Parameters so that can move forward with the
Hall C 12GeV physics program.
