Jay made a few iterations on the Hall C beam line since yesterday to establish a reasonable beam size at the target (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3531505, https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3531558). At around 8:30pm last night, they turned the beam over to us, but it was unstable/virtually unusable until 11pm. From 11pm onward, we received a trippy beam at 15 uA all night (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3531670). We finished the LH2 singles run and began with LH2 coincidence running. Progress is slow but steady (and better than nothing). The source of our trips at anything over 15 uA is further up in the machine so that is being worked out today. In the meantime, the physics run schedule for this spring is still being adjusted based on what we know at the moment (I don't have those details, but you may expect to hear more in the next day or so). The accelerator plan is to continue to provide beam to Halls A, B, and D at their desired currents, and we will take what we can get (doin
g the best they can). After resolving the source of the BLM trips in the machine, we should *hopefully* be able to determine the maximum expected current for the spring running (although this is surely going to be less than 65 uA, but one can hope). We will meet in 200C at 2:20 pm (second floor of the counting house).
