[Hallc] *Important Reminder* Registration requirements and guidelines for visiting Users- a message from JRIS

Hi all,

I thought it may be worthwhile resending it.

JLab has become increasingly strict about these registration rules
and timing. Folks who haven't registered prior to arrival have been
refused access to Campus until the paperwork is completed -- this can
take days.

This applies to both US and non-US citizens.

So, please follow the instructions below well before arrival. This
means filling out the form *now* if you plan to attend the JLab and/or
Hall A & C collaboration meeting.

If you're not sure about your status, please email jris at jlab.org and
ask.

All the best,
-- Brad

Subject: [Cuga] *Important Reminder* Details for registration
requirements and guidelines for visiting Users- a message from JRIS
To: "cuga at jlab.org" <cuga at jlab.org>

With shifts starting soon, the JLUO Meeting and Collaboration
Meetings, we wanted to remind our Users of these new requirements.
Please email jris at jlab.org if you have any questions. Registration
   information is as follows:

     - Non-U.S. citizens will be not be granted site access without
attaching a CV to their visit request. Our visitor access
       documentation will detail CV requirements.
     - All visit requests must be submitted not less than seven calendar
days prior to the visit start date. Admission with less than a
seven day notice is only possible with documentation from their
institution that a bona fide emergency prevented their advance
       registration.
     - Non-U.S. citizens must present proof of their current
institutional affiliation, such as a badge, ID card or an
original letter from their supervisor on institutional letterhead
       at the time of arrival.
     - Non-U.S. citizens will be granted lab access for up to one year,
or to the end of their U.S. entry authorization, whichever is
shorter. Visitors can request annual extensions if their
Jefferson Lab host verifies a continuing need for lab access.
     - U.S. citizens new to the lab should complete a visit request and
all required documents in the Guest Access Portal (link below).
     - Returning U.S. citizens who already have approved registrations
and current training do not need to register. Lorelei can
       confirm.

Guest Access Portal link https://misportal.jlab.org/jlabAccess/ to
enter your visit request. New Users should create a log-in for the
Portal, then log in and complete a visit request.
